Default What about these ebay sellers?

I seeing 'mint' and 'unused' razors from altima55 and ma_barence that look good in the photos. What's the straight scoop on these guys? Are their razors good?

I can vouch for mr_barence. He sells NOS razors. Great products, and service, too. Don't know about altima55, but one of the guys I talk to pretty regularly says he's great. I feel like you'd do well doing business with either of them.

altima55 is our very own Bob Keyes. I've purchased several razors from him, totally happy. In one auction. he had mis-identified a razor. After the auction, he conacted me to release me from my purchase. He did this immediately. I went through with the purchase.

I picked up a great antique Ivory straight from Altima55, which was in good condition and shave ready when I received it. I don't know Bob as I just joined SRP, but I'd buy from him again. The straight is one of the few ivory pieces in my razor rotation.

    Thanks again Bob.

Bob Keyes razors are always clean and when he says "shave-ready" he means "shave-ready" as in he'd actually shave with it, himself. Some guys idea of "shave ready" is that the razor will scrape hair off your arm but Bob knows what he's doing and you'll get no unpleasant surprises from him.

    Great news!!!

I won this razor recently. Mr. Keyes sent me a nice e-mail a little while after thanking me for the purchase and indicating when it would be shipped. I'm really glad I was able to buy from a SRP member, even if it was through eBay.

I'll also recommend altima55. I recently purchased an old english razor from him that was described accurately and arrived shave-ready.
