Variety is the spice of life. Try them all big and small and see what you prefer. If you know how to shave the size doesn't matter. Its like someone driving a compact car saying they could never drive a big SUV. If you know how to drive you can drive anything (within reason)

I think I'm going to go all out and get the SUV of straight razors - the 7/8.

Blade Weilder,
If you don't mind me asking, which razor did you buy?

Blade Weilder,
I have been eyeing that one as well. Out of the 7/8
razors, it a little more in my price line than the others.
But, I like the 7/8 blond horn better, I just love the
spikes.

Nice. I really like the look of those scales, though I think I prefer the spike points when they're on the smaller and mid-sized razors. The 7/8 and 8/8 spikes look a little too spatula-like or something.
The majority of my razors are spikes, and I think it's because I have so many that I'm now gravitating towards the other styles. A few minutes ago I shaved with my only round-point razor, actually. I like that they're very deceiving. A spike looks hella-sharp, but the round point that just gave me a smooth-as-glass shave looks like a butter knife at a glance. I think that's neat.
I can't wait for this razor to arrive.
