Under the Radar
After seeing the prices climb on several Wade & Butchers was surprised to see This One stay under $50 may be it helped that they misspelled Butcher

Nice catch Ray. The misspelling is a killer. A lot of people search by title and don't go one by one through all the razors listed.
I saw that one but it was too nice for me, no work left to be done.
These prices are giving me sticker shock too, I guess I have to spend some time on e-bay just to get used to the new reality.
I let a Goldenedge pass me by a week ago because it went for $51, I thought it was too much. Now one in similar condition is sitting at $122 and three days left till the fat lady sings . I should have sniped that other one for $75 .

Pretty neat razor. Can't say I'd have paid forty-six, plus shipping for it, though. I'm sure it will shave well for you.

Price is relative, I thought it was worth 50 bucks and even though I didn’t think I would win it at the current price trend, I put the snipe bid in any way. I have another W&B that I got for around five bucks the metal looked ok but the scales looked like some thing had been chewing on them. It will be my first attempt at restoration, I have some black walnut left over from a mantel clock that I made for my brother a few years back and thought it might make a great looking pair of scales for my first attempt. If it doesn’t work out then I’m not out any thing but some time since it is just some scrap wood laying around in my shop at this point.

$49.99 starting bid and $10 for shipping. There is some serious work in that blade, I mean left to be done.
If it was $24.99 + $5 S&H I would go for it without hesitation, at $60, I would need to be kissed first.
I don't mind the challenge if you guys commit to bid at least $150 for it on e-bay if the restoration is a success and if I list it. Of course with custom scales and a matching box.
Right now $60 is a big chunk for me to invest into a challenge.
Any one want to sign on?
