Dude you better get use to it now there's no equality and there is a double standard in womens minds and we're always on the losing end.

But RT's comments contain alot of wisdom.

really the best way to do it is for the two of you to have your own accounts that contain funds that you individually control for your own purposes after all the bills and such are paid every month. Then you can buy your razors without guilt and she can do what she wants.

I told her I'll return the mp3 player because right now with the wedding it probably wasnt the best time to buy it anyway. I'll wait till after the honeymoon to buy another razor, I just got two in the mail on the same day and I think that in her mind was me over spending even though I had paid for the two months a part.

I've got a buddy who likes to say: "Its better to apologize than to ask permission."

But then, he's single and a complete pain in the *ss.

Done correctly, it's "easier to apologize than to ask permission". The reason being, the deed is already done. Doing something you know someone else doesn't want you to do is easier if they haven't actually said "no". It's harder to defend if a discussion has already been held and you do it anyway.

    JL,

I have been married for almost 26 years now. Let me tell you, you will always end up on the short end of the stick. I am a firm believer in "what they don't know, won't hurt them" I don't lie about my razors I just don't tell her about them. She on the other hand is smart enough not to ask... In certain special cases a husband and wife can be completely honest with each other but with everyone I know a little bit of deceit goes a long way.. Remember even Mary didn't tell Joseph everything at first..

Well actually I was going to save the scuttle for a gift when someone asks me what I want for my birthday or something. I am very particular about my razors, but I would trust someone else to get me a scuttle.

You know that makes sense. It's also not as big a deal if it's not exactly what you wanted.

By the way what do you do for a living?
