Man, that's wild! I watched MacKenna's Gold last weekend and Telly did that very thing. Now I'm gonna have to watch Scalphunters.
I also watched Yellow Sky (I had a sorta of a Gregory Peck western marathon going on my Netflix) and saw Richard Widmark just finishing his shave and a little later after the woman told him he smelled bad, Peck got a clean shirt out of his saddlebag and checked the sharpness of his razor with this thumb - after he licked it... never actually saw him shave tho.
I watched Bill Paxton put a razor to his throat at 90 degrees and wipe some soap off in Resistance.

LOL! "I thought my razor was dull until I heard his speech." Now I know how to test for sharpness.
A spaghetti western I like is MY Name Is Nobody with Terrence Hill and Henry Fonda. There's two different scenes demonstrating the proper technique for keeping your barber on the straight and narrow.

In Game of Thrones last night on HBO there is a scene where a knight shaves the chest of the 4th in line to the throne. He intentionally cuts his side to make him watch it bleed. Kind of a strange scene.

It isn't a movie, but in the FX series Archer, the main character uses a straight razor and specifically refers to a his expensive silver tipped badger hair brush. Hilarious show if any of you haven't seen it. It's a crude animated series about a secret agent. My avatar is the main character.
At one point, his baby picks up the razor and he takes it off of him. The baby starts crying. so he gives it back to him. I loled.
Guess you had to be there.

In the movie tombstone Doc Holiday gets a str8 shave from a barber while sitting on the front porch. He then challenges a drunk man to a pistol fight.

Son of Paleface Bob Hope, Jane Russell, Roy Rodgers, and of course trigger. A terrible stropping followed by a comic shave... all while singing! Only Bob!
