Default New to the board just joined today

This board is a lot easier navigate than the yahoo group Whew. Already found a ton of information. Ordered a razor today after getting some ( a lot) of advice from people on the board and the yahoo groups. Now to start the rest of my collection. Target right now is 7.
Anyway thanks for all the help.

I targeted one... and I have 8. So if you target 7 you'll probably end up with 56. Fair warning

I strongly agree with Gary here. You should target 1, this may save your marriage if you are married!
    Anyway, welcome to the habit!

    Oh. Yeah...
Then you have to have a W&B and A Duck, and of course you'll have to get a DOVO and compare it with a Thiers..The list goes on forever. There is ALWAY an excuse to purchase a NEW or NOS or even and old to refurbish. Then there's Strops, Brushes, and of course, so many shaving creams and soaps and so little time. We're all here to help you. (hehe) See what you've started.

In the beginning I only wanted one. Then two tops (that's when Nenad started laughing). After that, a maximum of 4... Now I'm thinking a 7-day rotation with a couple of spares/travellers. I may get another one of Tony's strop. Then I'm considering a 22-24mm silvertip... Don't even get me started on the hones. I don't even have a regular job (currently running a string of temp contract gigs with various levels of government). Oh yeah, I'm buying Colleen's complete inventory and looking at some C&E stuff (b/c of the wooden bowls). Look what you people turned me into!! I hate you, I hate you all...

I found the same thing last year. Spent a few days poking around the Yahoo site where posts were coming ten per minute about lots of thtings, but not straight razors. i happened to be on when Lynn posted and "Alright already. That's enough of this. Come to the new site" message. A quick google later and I found I could suddenly breath. THAT was the moment I knew I would be ok.

Enough about me. It's good to have you here. What razor is that you ordered?
