I received a message earlier tonight the first package has arrived in Afghanistan. Unfortunately, I wasn't home and missed the phone call. Severe disappointment! I'll pass along more info when I get it. The feedback from box #1 will help determine what goes in box #2. Many thanks to everyone who has pitched in!

OK guys. I am setting Friday, 9/22 as the cutoff date for donations for the next package, with a ship date of 9/29.
I got to IM with my friend in Afghanistan this morning. Internet access is finally back on after the suicide bombings at the American Embassy a few days ago.
The guys are most appreciative of the shaving stuff. The two guys using the DE razors are loving them. The third DE user is incommunicado downrange. And despite hard water issues, they are also enjoying the shaving brushes & soaps. He says it's a bit different, and they are adjusting to learning curve successfully -- no nicks yet! The canned foam & disposables are well received also.
So, if you want to donate any items send me a PM & I'll send you my shipping info. PayPal is great too -- [email protected] is my PayPal ID.

BIG thanks to mikey. A 5/8 JR Torrey roundpoint with "Army" on the blade. If that weren't enough, a Simpsons brush in best badger to go with it! I am pretty much speechless right now. Many, many thanks!

I just received another box from Mikey. A nice tub of Mama Bear's Drakkar-type shaving soap is going to make a lucky soldier pretty happy. And, he threw in a ton of little sampler things. Everything from aftershaves to colognes to soap sampler disks. to a Castle Forbes preshave treatment sampler. Many thanks Mikey!

Need to throw a few kudos to Tilly (redtrader99) as well. She donated 3 Frictionite barber hones. Anybody want to PM me good directions on lapping one of these before I drop it in the care package? Also, anyone who has one of these, about how many strokes do you usually use for a touch-up?
