Thanked: 0What about Marines?
Guys,
Not to be a begger but I am a Marine with 9th Communications BN Bravo Co. which is deployed in the Al Anbar province of Iraq for the year. I am new to str8 razors but I bought two and some soaps from Colleen one of my razor is a zeepk and the other I don't know the brand or make. I found out after the fact zeepk is cheap. But I would like to know if any would be interested in extending you good will to us here I have a platoon of marines about 8 male marines and 5 females. If this is something anyone is interested in pm and I will give you any info you need.

Dude, you're not being a beggar.
You're part of the group this thing is supposed to help. Kyle's been sending mostly DE razors with disposable blades. I've got 3 such razors I need to clean up and send to him. As a Service Connected disabled vet I'm glad to see more active duty speaking up. Good for you, man.
Zeepk stinks. Send your information to kyle via pm/email for regular DE razors and supplies. I'll look at cleaning up the last few spares out of my "to do box" in straight razors if you have any lads wanting to try straight razors. I'll fix up a few strops also, and possibly try to convince you lads to try out my new "strop box".
Let us know. You can pm or email me also for info on the spare straights I have.
On an unrelated note, if you like I'll add you to my prayer chain as well

Thanked: 0Marine 2005,
Please post a thank you if/when you receive your Care Package. I've been waiting to post one myself since November 07 (even re-checked, emailed in Jan 08 and Feb 08). I guess I'm just looking for some confirmation that this thread is for real.

Marine2005 & BKHamre, please PM me with a list of what you need. We have ziplock shaving mugs, brushes and a bunch of disposable razors.

My apologies for the long delay. I'd say check out this thread. I sent all available supplies to these soldiers.

I am a Marine who is also currently deployed (same parent unit as Marine2005) I already ordered my shaving supplies, and no one else in my section seems to express much interest in straight razors. I can vouch for PX's running out of shaving supplies. The one I relied on for the last three months, and will rely on the current three months usually only has venus cartridges (which fit the Mach3) I'm new to straights - so new I don't even have mine yet, and won't for a while (thank you military post)
Sorry to ramble - What I meant to say is that I appreciate what you are doing. They make us shave come dull blades and just water. Ironically, that's all they will supply us most of the time. For now, I can access this site, and I doubt it will be blocked later, but you never know. If I can get back to you, I will surely let you know how my first shave went!
