I finally had a chance to make it to the post office today. I had another package from Mikey waiting for me since the wife was sick & missed the postman the other day.
As is typical with Mikey, I was totally wowed & amazed. A brand new Feather Artist Club DX (non folder) and 100 Feather blades! Man oh man. Thanks again for all your contributions Mikey!

I'm going to repost this segment since it was several weeks ago.
Just to be clear, there's still time for everyone to get in on this. If I receive your stuff before the general drawing (which is a couple of weeks yet) you're in. I could really use about 20 more DE razors to go with the nearly 800 blades going overseas (hint hint). I'll deal with cleaning & sterilising them if you guys will send them.
Since another SRP Razor giveaway is coming up, I'm going to do something for all of you guys who are helping me out with this project. You may excuse yourself from the drawing if you choose to do so, but please send me a PM rather than clutter up the thread. Same thing goes for questions.
IF you contribute by sending me shaving products or PayPal, you are entered in my drawing. This giveraway is outside the normal SRP Razor Giveaway. Nobody else has a shot at this razor.
If you are listed in a thread here, on the day of the SRP Razor Giveaway (actual date to be determined) you are eligible. Being included on this list does not exclude you from the normal SRP Razor Giveaway. However, signing up for the general giveaway does not and will not enter you into my drawing.
I want to make this equitable for everyone involved. I will therefore be utilizing a point system that works something like this:
Each 50 DE blades = 1 entry in the hat
Each used DE razor = 1 entry
Each new DE razor = 1 entry
Each brush = 1 entry
Soaps & creams will be 1 or 2 entries, depening on the product. Sorry guys, but a cake of Williams and a cake of Trumpers (or one of Colleen's soaps) ain't the same thing.
I know this doesn't cover all the bases. I will be as equitable as I can for all of you who have sent PayPal, straight razors, etc.
Your name will go in a hat, and whoever I happen to draw will receive a 7/8 Filarmonica Doble Temple honed by Lynn. This is a great razor from my personal collection.

Received a couple of things this week. It's been a little crazy, but I finally got it all sorted out.
First package was from Lynn. A freshly honed 7/8 Filarmonica for one of you lucky guys here. Thanks for honing that monster up Lynn! He also kicked in a couple of DE razors from his collection.
Second box was from Glenn (aka FUD). He included two tubes of his handmade soaps, and a bunch of stuff from a drive he did in his local community collecting things. There was a bunch of different stuff, from Williams and Surrey soaps to handlotion, to bathsoaps, to baby powder, to aftershave, and many more. When repackaged into the neat USPS Flat-rate boxes, the yield was a box and a half. Way to go Glen!

If you have donated stuff for the troops, you're automatically in the running for the 7/8 Filarmonica.
If you would like to be *EXCLUDED* from the drawing please drop me a PM. I will be drawing a winner tomorrow night. Some of you have requested to be excluded, but I seem to have lost that list.

Thanks from the 217th TC
To Kyle and all whom contributed;
I want to give out a big thanks to all who contributed to Shaving Stuff for the troops. I received 6 boxes of assorted shaving supplies four days ago. It ranges from homemade bath soaps, Mama Bears shaving soap, DE razors, DE Blades, Colonel Conk soap (a whole lot of it, Lol), brushes, baby powder, toothpaste, a feather straight razor, and other items too numerous to list. I have wanted to write before now to tell you all how grateful we are to have received such an abundance of shaving materials. It truly is a blessing to see such generosity. I just did not know how to say the words. Everytime I would start to type out a message, I just did not think that what I was about to type could truly explain how we all feel here. So, today, I finally decided to TRY! I think the best approach is to explain that those 6 boxes are a lot of shaving supplies.
The first evening that I received the boxes, Frasier and I went thru them and sorted everything out in the Operations Center. We then divided everything up into kits for troops that have shown an interest in wetshaving. The razors we made sure were clean by going over each of them with swabs and alcohol. We buffed them up and using the containers that Kyle gave us, we made up the kits and handed them out at formation the next morning. I had been buying up several razors on ebay until about the 5th of this month, so I had razors to make up for the number of guys here that needed one. We included a DE razor, brush, soap (several for each), DE Blades (again, several packs for each), and we spread out the body soap, powder, toothpaste, etc thruout the packages. IT has been very well received by all the guys in the company. I now have orders for straight razors and DEs. Thanks to you all, we are spreading the joy of wetshaving. I can tell you, I think I may have bitten off more than I can chew. I will more than likely have to give classes to some of these guys.
Thanks to you all for supporting your troops,
Bryan Arnold

you guys are great!
Wow thats amazing speaking as a former marine myself, this is a noble cause!
I spent the last four years in the marine corps and me being fortunate enough not to go to Iraq or Afghanistan. but have had countless friends and my own brother go multiple times. they are always in need of supplies, especially shaving stuff. the funny part is the marine corps expects every marine to have a clean shave every day, but the catch is how can that be possible when theres nothing to shave with? well keep up the good work guys! remember you may not support the war but always support your troups
