Wo wo wait a min boys u think its hard to be accepted as a straight shaver, You shoudl try being a 15 yr old that when he brings a girl to his room and the first thing she sees is my strop haning off my deer antlers and my shrine ot my razor and hone and brushes and soaps. Now that takes some explainign and i still get weird looks. and as far as males i dont have to worry i hang around with old people that remember the straights and you guys, Its hard to like a dying hobbie when ur my age and people expect u to be (and i use this phraise verry verry losly) normal. But i wouldt change a thing i am who i am and thats a Pa hick that loves to hunt, fish, trap, and play with a straight razor.

Thanked: 1160Yes well...It's not a dying hobby by any means. It's a manly ritual that is gaining popularity. What was once old is new.And old people??! I may be old enough to be your father ,but I ain't old or over the hill and when I'm dead,my spirit is gonna carry on and be ornery indeed. And why am I so crazy lad, I take a little offense to that ?? This coming from a good ol' country boy originally from the the cold woods of Northern Michigan who's first car was a boat and has done his fair share of fishing and shooting in his earlier days.
