It's That Time of the Year
Hello friends,
With the change of seasons comes rituals that people have kept since the beginning of civilization. Many take the time to root through their items, sort them and display them with tags labeling them with a compromise somewhere between sentimental value and the cost of waste disposal. Others will find themselves infatuated with members of our (and occasionally another) specie wherein they dance around like wood nymphs preparing for a celebration, the likes of which have not been seen since the days of Dionysus. Still others prepare for the lengthening of days by rotating their daily accessories.
I am far from an organized person and have the greatest wife ever...ever. This leaves me in a position to organize (yes, I know what I just said) my ever increasing collection of shaving gear. I started putting away scents like dragon's blood, dark rhassoul, warmer bayrums and sandalwoods; I then started moving my lighter and cooler scents to the front and placed a few before the shrine I keep to myself. I have also reorganized my razors to favor the ones that seem to agree more with my skin and placed the harshest into long term storage (6 inches away).
Beyond the shaving I have changed my bathing soap to a nice light berry scent, my colognes to cleaner scents and my lotions and lip balms have even followed suit.
How many of you follow or plan to follow similar plans? Keeping with the flow of the spring sensation what scents/other characteristics give the lively sensation of rebirth?

Thanked: 993Similar to that,
My spicy colognes move to the back, and my fruit and citrus ones come forward.
And the shower soaps take on a flower or plant scent, such as lavender.

Thanked: 983I don't have enough crap for all that. Just have a weeks worth of razor changes, three days worth of cologne changes and one days worth of soap changes. Thankfully I maintain a good supply of undie changes.

I'm ashamed to say that I have only made minimum adjustments to my attire/scents. I have limited that to necessities with the exception of the addition of the new razors and shaving supplies. What I have been actively working on is a drastic version of spring cleaning for my house. I have rearranged my living room, cleaned out a walk in closet, emptied and trashed a dented old file cabinet, sorted through boxes of old stuff, thrown out much of said old stuff and reorganized my rock collection and jewelry making supplies. Now I have much more open space in my home to enjoy. It's a very invigorating improvement. Now that I have more room to work in I can get around to switching around the clothes in the closet.
