That has become my philosophy on bidding, as well. Besides, Izlat...as Bill said, his was a snipe bid, too. His name didn't even appear until the auction was over. My bid went in 4 seconds after his, so there wasn't time to react anyway. Besides, Bill's already proved his mastery...I'm still working my way up the food chain.
I need more practice than he does. lol

If I see a member already bidding, I'll usually lay off. There hasn't been an instance of "I absolutely must have it" to warrant me going at something a member is already bidding on... yet.
If I see something I like, I'll put it in my watch list or setup a snipe. Whenever I setup a snipe I always set it at my max bid, so if someone snipes/outbids me, that just means they were willing to pay more than I was, which, is the whole point of an auction.
I usually don't mind if another SRP member outbids me. At least that way I know it's likely the razor is going to good hands instead of someone else who might treat them like trash.

I never know who I'll be bidding against and they never know I'm there. I make all my bids by sniping and I usually place it when I first find the auction, but the bid doesn't go in until the end. I'll never look at that auction again unless I win, and I don't know your Ebay names anyhow.
I don't have time to fool around. I couldn't possibly bid any other way.
