I don't know that anyone really collects these razors. I think some have bought one or two as curiosities but I'd be shocked to see someone with say 10 or more.

By the way nothing wrong with Invicta watches if you're very selective.

I dont think its blasphemous, its just a poor choice unless you want the blade for its aesthetics. They wont shave and the balance is atrocious, but if you really like the looks then pick one up I guess. I'd just rather have a blade that is fit for purpose than one I cant use...!

My point exactly. Albeit I don't know anyone who collects Invictas, a lot of people I know at least one one of the sub "homage" watches. Nothing wrong with a few of anything . But if you know someone who has more than 10 sweeney Todd razors you may want to run like heck... unless you like being a meat pie.

And there's many a poor young orphan lad,
The first square meal he ever had,
A large meat pie made out of his dad
    From Sweeney Todd the Barber.

I wouldnt be at all interested in picking up one of those razors, you can't shave with them, I'd rather spend the money on real steel.

Although, my snobbiness aside I will admit I watched that movie with a certain awe the few days before my first dovo came in. So I guess I can't bash it too hard . Even if the stropping in the barber dual scene makes you want to throw up

My girlfriend actually bought me a razor for graduation. I opened it up and saw it was the Sweeny Todd razor. I smiled and said thanks and she asked me why it's still sitting in my drawer. I deftly avoided the subject of explaining to her that there is no possible way it can be shaved with. She doesn't know any better.

But she did get me an amazing strop, as well. So that's great.

[QUOTE=paco664;819594]has anyone actually tried to hone and shave with one of these??

Yes, Will hold edge until you test it on one or two arm hairs and then nothing, back to hone.
I did it out of curiosity. DUMB!!
