I use straight razors, DE razors and also have a Sensor Excel, though I haven't shaved with it for a couple of years. They all have their place, I can get a good shave from any of them.
Polls and statistics that are generated by those with an interest in selling their own products can be taken with a pinch of salt.
Advertorials are just another facet of our modern consumer society.
The problem is that we are geared up to purchase more and more, the new and improved. Once we stop buying, people that make, import, sell and service all this stuff start to be laid off work.'Living the dream, one nightmare at a time'

I recently had to go back to Mach 3 since I lack the funds to keep my razor in good shape (my own fault, started getting into straight razor shaving right after I graduated school and before I got a decent job), and I was rewarded with razor rash on my neck, whiteheads, and two ingrown hairs right off the bat. The FIRST thing I'm going to do when I get positive cash flow again is to lovingly pamper my straight razor and give it the care she..er..it deserves.

he says in one sentence " a schick funded poll echoes less biased polls that.." then proceeds to say this is backed up by an anecdotal survey.
Not getting in to the pro's and cons of the system he's talking about, not even going to defend the straight, because it doesn't need to be, but the whole point of anecdotal evidence is that it doesn't back up anything. Mainly because it's anecdotal. and even less so when the sample size is 6 women. It can "suggest" something, but to use it as a means to "back up" a company funded "poll" (not study) is just ridiculous. and the results themselves? women prefer shaved men. with a great example of using big words to make something simple sound impressive to follow. I suspect the question asked was rather leading, and anyway is it not like asking a fish "so do you prefer breathing under water or above?"
If you'll excuse me I'm going to activate my dihydrous oxide molecular excitation facilitation device, and after it's full cycle is complete, displace it to a fully insulated and enclosed fluid retaining system along with some dessicated granulated botannical extract. or make a cup of coffee for those of us who dislike bulls**t

I'm tempted to click the "report an error" button on the bottom and let them know the entire article is in err. Serious BS being served on this silver platter. Disgusting, in my opinion.

Scratch that, I did report the article as an error, and invited them to e-mail me with questions, since they're obviously ignorant of a true, straight razor experience!
