What about this for storage?
Looking for storage for straight razors. Anyone have any opinion or currently use a roll? (Gary I'm especially looking for your input.)

That is an amazing idea. Something simple you can possibly make as well. I would not mind looking for some fabric and making my own for travelling. But I would have oneo r two spots for razors, while it has alternate spots for your brush and maybe a cry soap cake and brush to be placed in.

Thanked: 324????? I've been using rolls for a long time, now. I've got three very large rolls with about 80 compartments each and I've got two shaving rolls, one holding ten and one holding 8 razors. Those are my regular shavers.
Rolls are very easy to make for anyone so inclined. Canvas or denim works fine.

If you cut the legs properly, you can fold it upward on a side-seam; that is, the seam becomes the bottom of the pockets.

Hi Everyone. I emailed a company that manufactures a "roll" for silverware or flatware. This is their email back to me.
"Thank you for your interest in our products. It sounds like you would need three rolls perhaps, similar to our flatware rolls, each holding 10 razors, which would make each roll 26" long. I don't think Pacific Silvercloth would be the best fabric to use for this purpose as the brown dye in the fabric could stain some of the more absorbent handle materials, and it would not protect against moisture. Have you seen anything similar in the past, and if so, what type of material/fabric was used? It would not be difficult for us to make the roll out of a different fabric.
Also, if you're interested, we can have the rolls embroidered with your name or some other identifying wording. I'll be glad to put a quote together for you. Let me know what type of fabric you might want, if you would be interested in embroidery, and if putting 10 per roll would work for you."
I may ask her if her fabric supplier could suggest something. Any of you razor gurus have any feedback? The size of a slot is 1.25"x7". Is that okay? (1.25" wide enough? I don't know what the max diameter of an object to fit in a slot could be.) Also embroidery of names or Straightrazorplace or ...

does anyone have any other links for boxes like the gerstner boxes that are cheaper and can hold several razors as well as some space for mugs etc. It doesnt have to be great quality, just something nice enough that the wife wont consider it an eye sore. She gets mad enough about what I spend on razors, the last think she wants to see is me spending lots of money for something to keep the razors in lol! Im talking like under $60.00...
