Thanked: 8I restored an old Rimu cupboard from a recyclers and fitted a sloping shelf with slots to hold the razors.
The second pic shows the idea quite well. I removed some razors so you can see more clearly.
Another idea is just to convert a wooden box, in the 3rd pic it's an old fountain pen box which now holds 7 razors.

I was perusing through my lee valley catalog and came across this roll as well. Looks like it'd be a good fit.
You can also checkout the page with all their tool rolls.

Very nice Gary. It did say the pen roll fit "larger" pens but I guess that's relative. Maybe my wife could make me something. Course then she'll know exactly how many razors I've purchased recently.
Thanks Toxik for the other rolls. I did a google on pen rolls so I missed that. Would new canvas be too rough? I guess that is why Gary recommends lining it.
Gary, I'm not not that great in the workshop so I bought a small cabinet on Ebay for the bathroom I've taken over. Item 250021255343 I can't believe I got it at that price! It was a whim. But of course the shipping brings it to $171 and I wasn't happy with the seller's feedback. I'll see what happens. I couldn't get an unfinished pine cabinet for less than $140!

These are old photo's, but it's what I use to store my razors....
It's a wooden machinests box. Gerstner makes some NICE high end versions of this...this one is a 'cheap' copy of a gerstner box, but it's all wood, and works great. I had to add the slotted holders....

OH! and if anyone is interested, I also have this.......
It will hold 6 razors (even chopper size). There is a leather flap that comes over, but it did not fit on the scanner view, and the holder folds in half. I think it was made originally for scissors. I got it on eBay a while back for $10. If anyone wants it for $10, PM or email me at: taztu at hotmail

Thanks!
The best part is, the tray in the front flips up, and locks closed when the lid is clipped down. Then you can lock it shut, so curious fingers will stay out!
I tried to keep my razor collection down to only what would fit in the box, however, if you notice in the one picture I made 3 additional slotted trays to fit in the top section, so I could expand my collection....DAMN this addiction!

I've been looking at the "Gerstner International" boxes made by Gerstner but not as expensive and I'm assuming not the same quality as the American version. Found one 10 drawer on Amazon.com for $229 (model GI-532), ships free, and they are offering $25 off during September! So that's $204! An ebay authorized Gerstner dealer is selling the 8 drawer model (GI-530) for $194.99.
Note: Amazon's picture of GI-532 is WRONG. The description is for the 10 drawer GI-532 but the pic is the 8 drawer GI-530.
