WB Rich. You're absolutely correct and welcome back... Just squirrel 5 bucks here, 10 bucks there, and once you have enough hard cash, get your boss' approval to use the company credit card and hand them the cash. They can write it off as a gift for a client, you get a nice storage item and the wife will never know. A win-win-win situation

OR, do what I do.
Sell some razors you have to buy more. I'm sure you have enough now to sell, and buy? If you want to make a little more than what you put in, clean 'em up and hone them.
Unfortunately, the wife is starting to tap into this... I'm getting, "Op! We need to get or pay for this, looks like you need to sell off some razors!" I just recently encountered this this week. The animals need vet work, and well, this weekend I'll be listing some nice razors, and a week set! (It's a heafty vet bill ) At this rate, I better hide a few of my best shavers, because when we start kicking out kids, that razor liquidation is going to happen fast.
On second thought, If you love your razors, don't do what I do!

LOL I just traded my last razor that I would ever part with. The rest are the ones I love and couldnt bear to live without. I have a small collection, but they are:
1. 8/8 workedback henckels Friodur with plexi scales by Gary
2. 9/8 1840 wedge with Robert Williams girraffe bone scales
3. 7/8 1900's Bill Ellis wedge with desert ironwood scales w/CA treatment
4. 8/8 Friodur with blue mosiac scales
5. 8/8 J. Smith Wedge with Joe Chandler Cocobolo scales
6. Something very special in the works from Bill Ellis for my Christmas gift from the wife
I think I am forgetting one razor...but thats everything else....
So see I cant part with any of them!!! EVER!!!!

WOW, I admire how small you collection is!
I have tried to acheive that level of necessity for quite a long time. I keep falling off that damn wagon though! (Thus the need for such a large box).
One thing you might want to concider is a nice wooden cigar box. 'Torano' even comes with slotted trays sometimes....

well I like the idea of something that can hold all my shaving stuff a few brushes a few mugs and a bunch of razors, as I am sure my collection will slowly grow.
I also want something that is solid and heavy enough to protect them from being knocked off a dressor when banged into by a person or a cat. I cigar box would get destroyed in my house lol, plus remember my smallest razor is an 8/8 they tend to take up a lot of room.

How about one of these for travelling? Being watertight maybe not ideal for daily use, but you can't get much stronger.

Those look similar to cigar travel cases I've seen. Good idea.

The following is a cut and paste from a post I put on shavemyface.com. I meant to paste it here earlier but forgot till I saw Iwan beat me to mentioning Pelicans:
These waterproof pelican cases are made to keep your camera, mp3 players, flash memory cards, guns, etc safe.
But if you put your shaving stuff, and/or travel tubes inside, it will keep the clothes in your luggage safe. Line it with paper towel, napkins, kleenex to catch drips.
Probably not great for a shaving brush though, unless the brush dries first.
you can see various sizes of 'micro' cases
here, or go to the home page for big cases as well.
I bought mine at Fry's electronics. I think they are cheaper at Frys too.
OtterBox makes similar waterproof cases, including for cigars

This may be of use for European folks. I just ordered a 6 pocket canvas tool roll from a company in Germany. The delivery is a little pricy but it looks ideal for keeping a small collection safe, also being canvas it won't trap moisture inside with the razors like a plastic case might.
