I don't think if I was asked that I'd allow a woman to shave any part of me. It's nothing personal but I don't think I'd even be comfortable allowing a trained barber to shave my face. It's just something I'm much more comfortable doing myself.

Respectfully disagree. Being shaved by a pro is an exceptionally rewarding experience. Gentleman have been shaved by another for thousands of years; I enjoy being shaved whenever I can. My lady is using a straight razor on her own legs (I can't do that for her EVERY time!) and will soon have a crack at my face. I'm really not worried...but I've got my will in order just in case...

I gave my daughter a 1966 Gillette Slim Adjustable for leg shaves. One day she came over and out of the blue asked me if I could shave her legs with a straight. Initially I was quite nervous and worried about cutting her. After all, when I'm shaving my face I have an entire dimension of feedback (feel) that I would not have on her legs. As it turned out, my fears were baseless and her legs were expertly shorn with nary a cut. She really loved the results too.

As for my bride, being Filipina, she simply has no leg hairs to shave and has not shaved her legs in the nearly 30 years we've been married. She uses a 3 piece Gillette Tech for her other body hair removal chores but to date will have nothing to do with a straight.

I hinted to my wife to let me shave her legs with a str8. Well, if looks could kill...................

You could try using a DE, or even using what she currently has to pamper her. It took me a year before I let my hubby get near me with a straight and not before I started using them myself. Well said Carrie! Mine had let me shave her legs a little bit just to let her see how she liked it, now she wants her own. As far as getting cuts, I think honestly I've had more with a DE than a straight. And I let her shave me once or twice, but I prefer to do it myself

While she was pregnant with our most recent my wife let me shave her. She got a few nicks around her ankle and I missed some by her knees.
She did tell me that other than the spots I missed that those were the smoothed her legs have been and the longest they've stayed that way.
Now she won't let me near them. I am working on getting her to try a mild DE but she'll have none of it. I'm happy enough when she asks me to make lather for her.
The Omega 10048 with some über made with Real Shave Co. sensitive cream, 5 drops of glycerin, and a smidge of VDH for the almond scent and she's a happy camper.
I'll take what I can get.

My wife won't let me touch her with a straight. I'll keep bugging her though. Maybe it'll happen some day.

If you "bug" her about it, I can promise you will piss her off a long before you will gain permission to shave her. Maybe start with asking if she would like you to make her some lather when she's ready to shave. If you push, she'll never be interested.
