The Dissapointment of an ebay loss
You know, I've been buying and selling razors on the bay for a couple of years now, and like everybody I win some and lose some. You would think buy now I would be used to a loss, but I still walk away stinging for about 15 minutes after the loss. It's even worse when I lose by $1.00. The only thing I can figure is the dissipation of the adrenaline rush from the bidding.
Anybody else still feel it?

I used to feel that way. Now more often than not I feel glad that I didn't waste money on something I didn't need anyway. Within a day, a week, maybe even within an hour there will be some other 'obscure object of desire' to lust after.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I feel the same way but then I have a moment of perverse satisfaction that I cost someone at least $1.00 more than necessary. Then I think it may be 1 of my fellow SRPer's and I feel bad. Then 15 minutes later I'm good and looking for the next buy I can't live without.

Thanked: 247I've only one twice in 15 attempts. The sting is starting to fade for sure. It's the losing that keeps me coming back though. If I'd have gotten everything I bid on, then I wouldn't have any money left.

Thanked: 993I don't necessarily feel that pang from a loss of razor auction. I do feel that sting when I lose on a hone that I really had my heart set on. I lost a couple of Charnley auctions before I was finally able to add one to my collection. They hurt.....

The only time I get disappointed by ebay is when I don't bid on something because I think it will go far out of my price range, instead selling for much below what I was willing to pay.

I always go with "Bashert" which basically means if it is meant to be or "fate." באַשערט

If there is something I REALLY want I make sure I bid enough to get it otherwise it doesn't bother me if I lose the auction.

Thanked: 1195I don't bid on ebay anymore. I don't use fancy sniper programs, and you can't compete with them. My problem is I would only bid on razors I really wanted, never ones that I was indifferent to. I've never won, so yeah I know what ebay disappointment is all about. It doesn't really matter though, all the brands I have wanted I've found on the SRP classifieds and through approved vendors, so I know I have a good chance of getting what I paid for
