Default I think I've earned my College Degree in Shaving

I feel that I've achieved a new level in my shaving recently, so I decided to develop a rating scale based on the US school system. Based on this scale, I've graduated from college.

Any suggestions for improving or replacing this system?

    Kindergarten
    • Developing interest in straight razor shaving, reading about it
    • Buys some shaving accoutrements – soaps, brush, etc.
    Elementary School
    • Buys first razor and basic tools
    • First shaves are very slow and troublesome (nicks, razor burn, very slow)
    • Asks lots of questions of forums, others
    • Tries honing – messes up edge
    Middle School (Jr. High)
    • Becoming comfortable with shaving
    • Begins to developing some techniques and finding strokes that work
    • Still has trouble with upper lip, chin and neck
    • Improving technique with strop
    • Begins to develop ability to hone
    High School
    • Has more confidence with razor
    • Shaves are quicker, easier
    • Fewer nicks
    • Has developed basic techniques for lip, chin and neck
    • Buys better tools
    • Can achieve usable edge with hone
    College
    • Is comfortable with shaving
    • Nicks are infrequent
    • Still has minor accidents when not focused
    • Has good technique with all areas of face, including lip, chin and neck
    • Can produce very good edge with hone and strop
    Master’s Degree
    • Has perfected shaving technique
    • Can produce excellent edge
    • Rarely has problems
    PhD:
    • Lynn

Puts me in College although the nick I took out of myself yesterday should put me in kindergarden. Was that big I think a millimeter more would have needed sutures, about three of them

I think I have my Masters.

I think the PhD would be someone who can not only get flawless shaves with a straight razor, but also makes them.

Lynn would certainly have an honorary PhD under that system, though.

    Tom...

What an entertaining contribution to the forum. It's great...

What about pre-school? I might be in with that crowd.
