Justin-That is what I did. I got the Dovo Best 5/8" a couple of Christmases ago, also with the lifetime honing. While I was/am learning to hone, I used it as a reference razor to see whatreal honing feels like. The cool thing is that, in learning to hone my other two razors on my Norton stones, with a Swaty and CrOx linen for final touch-ups and polishing, I am now getting edges that are almost as good, so I haven't sent the Dovo in for a while. Frankly, I don't know that I ever will-honing is about as (maybe even more!) fun as shaving. My wife now marvels at all her killer-edged kitchen knives, and the boys' pocket knives are wicked sharp, too-I love this hobby!

So i wanted to share what i ended up spending my money on.
I actually had to part with an additional $10 but it seemed worth it so its no big deal.

Wow-Nice haul. I like 'em both, but LOVE that brush!

I saw the brush in the classifieds and googled threads about it on here, it seemed like everyone was pleased with it, and for the price I couldn't find another silver tip I liked so I scooped it up. I currently only have a pure badger from AOS and its slightly rougher(tho getting softer) than I would like on my face, so I'm pretty excited to try this.
Someone also bought me some castle forbes lavender cream which is why I didn't have to spend any money on that!

to Thoreau's thinking in Walden that "A man is rich in proportion to the number of things he can do without."

I'm probably gonna give my housemate my old brush cuz he was interested in wet having when he felt how slick real lather was. Gotta share the truth right?
