Thread: Ok Lets talk size!! 5/8, 6/8, 7/8, Wedge? Full Hollow?

Anything 6/8 or more, any grind suits me just fine. I have a preference for bigger and heavier though.

I prefer 9/8 and up. 8/8s are starting to feel small to me.

So far I haven't found a razor that's under 6/8" that I like shaving with, but it's a personal thing. I've given some of my smaller razors to others that are really happy with the way they shave.

While I like most all razors, I personally tend to favor the 6/8-13/16 blades. I don't care for the lighter weight super flexible hollows near as much as I like the stiff 1/4 hollows & I think it's simply due to the weight. I've had some full wedges, but they are a REAL bugger to hone & a PITA to strop due to the draw...so I traded them off. While I have never sampled anything over 8/8, the range in my rotation is 5/8-7/8, but I have stuff from 4/8-8/8. Try them all, but don't get rid of them as your moods will change, thus your preferences will change.

I have 4/8's to 9/8's in my rotation. I prefer 6/8 and above. I like the 6/8 and 7/8 for my "daily drivers", and my 9/8 as the Weekend Warrior.

I like 5/8 - 6/8 best and any grind other than full wedge or extra hollow (singing)

My preference is for a 5/8 full hollow, and I find round tip to be the most eye pleasing for some reason.

I have them all and use them all but 6/8s has a special place in my heart.
