Thread: My wife thinks I have an affair

Yep. She absolutely refuses to believe I spend all this time on the internet reading and writing about razors and shaving.

Would fellow souls just check in here - I intend to show her the thread as proof that there are many others.

You are just going to accept that Ivo has a new mistress... She has a 2" waist, is covered in satin and is sassy enough to cut a hanging hair... Her name is Filarmonica (FYI Filarmonica is just a Spanish brand of straight razors)
As you can see this hobby is addictive.. If you think Ivo's crazy, I have EIGHT times more posts than him. Thank your lucky stars he isn't like me. Then you'd WISH he had a mistress to take him away from his razors lol.

Internet Explorer has a history feature that can show exactly which sites and pages you visited when and how long. You may want to show her that, it might even be an eye opener regards the seriousness of your SRP addiction!

Yeah my girlfriend has been saying the same lately. She can't possibly understand how I spend so much time online perusing shaving websites.

I've tried explaining about all the soap/brush/mug/razor/strop/hone/aftershave research I need to do, plus I need to check the forums every few minutes just in case someone has responded with some critical information. I need to check my email every few minutes too, in case there's a progress report on any of the various razor "deals" I have going at the moment. Plus there's Ebay, I mean what if someone has put up a pristine W&B or a Wonderedge in the last 5 minutes with a stupidly low "Buy Now", I couldn't possibly risk missing something like that.

Maybe she has a point!

As an aside, she's going to go ballistic tonight when she sees the new Colonel Conk mug which just arrived in the mail sitting in the bathroom. She notices anything like that, eye's like a hawk, I'll never get away with it!!

You must have been married before the razor habit took hold. I mean, really, who has time for women !? Who has time for eating ? Why, the only reason I trouble myself with bathing is because it's the precursor to shaving !

I clear mine daily, I can't risk her stumbling across Lynn's website then putting 2 + 2 together and figuring out why we can't go out for dinner this month!

Just start questioning them about their hair and makeup. Time and cost and you will see them change the subject so fast your head will spin. My wife doesn't say much about it anymore.

Wouldn't work for me. My wife uses almost no makeup whatsoever, and cuts her hair by herself (sometimes she asks me to help her). She was a model in her teens, and we still get asked when we're out and about... she is smart and knows that she can bank on her natural looks. Oh, she always does this thing that freaks me out - pulls out a dull butter knife and twists her eyelashes with it. gives me the shudders, it's dull but still... It is also cheap, so can't really use it as ammo

One of the things she says - I have more soaps, creams, EDTs, etc than her. She is correct.
