    Default I hate to say it, but . . . .

I hate to say it, but there is one thing I have come to hate about straight razor shaving. To ensure no bleeding afterwards, I splash cold water on my face (when I was using a Sensor Excel, I would rinse off with warm water).

Well, I live in the country in Colorado at about 7900 feet and I'm on a water well. My water comes from about 230 feet down and it's COLD!!

Lordy, it's a shock after the warm lather!

Ummmmmm ???? Stop! ??? Could you look for bleeding and apply your freon water just to that spot? Maybe try a touch of Alum on bleeding sections?

I've never thrown cold water on my face after a shave and never will.

Oh, I use a styptic pencil, I just use the cold splash at the end to clean off and tighten (freeze?) the skin.

I know what you mean. I live up here in Canada, and, in the winter, cold tap water is ice cold.

The strange sensation is when you come in from being outside in the middle of the winter, turn on the cold tap water, and it still feels warm on your hands because it's so cold outside. brrrrr.

I WISH I were hooked up to cold well water. Better than that crap coming out of the tap. I also like the shock like the sting of the aftershave.

    Hm.

I try to have my shave so that I am not bleeding, and that there is little to no burn from the after shave. I agree, that water get's COLD in the winter. And that burn, don't like it.

When I was in college I use to row crew...Fall season ended around now, and there were times when it'd be snowing on the water and we were out there rowing. I remember getting back from those practices and the shower would burn my feet!! That was just the cold water.......

Keep laughin' there buddy boy. Course, when global warming has you wandering the Mississippi Desert in search of an oasis, I'll be basking on the beaches of Hudson Bay adding ice to my drink, so I guess time has a way of evening things out.
