    Exclamation Offical SRP Hats!!!

There were quite a few people who either wanted a jacket but could not afford one, or wanted something that said SRP on it, but had no need for a jacket. The next idea in my line of SRP members only products is a nice flexfit baseball hat. If you all are not familiar with "flexfit" hats, they are two size fits all hats that look like fitted, but stretch internally to fit most people. The hats will have a matching logo that was used on the jackets, but they will be made by a different company, so there is a chance that there may be some slight differences in the design, but I doubt anything that would be very noticeable, unless this was requested ahead of time. You will of course get the chance to examine the logo as was done with the jackets before placing an order, and like the jackets it will take a few weeks to get things going, so probably around December 1st we will start ordering.

The hat style I would like to use is described as:

Original Flexfit Wool Blend Structured Low Profile Custom Fitted Hats
6 panel, low profile fitted cap. Fused hard buckram sewn into front of 3 1/2" crown, 6 sewn eyelets, 8 rows of stitching on Permacurv visor, silver undervisor. Taped seams. Stretches to fit a wide variety of head sizes comfortably. Please see the attached sample photo at the bottom of the page for a detailed view of the hat style. Disregard the color as we have many options.

The pricing will be as follows including embroidery, setup fees, and samples, and as usual is based on quantity ordered:

    Quantity--24-------48-------72-------144------288-----576
    Price---$16.76---$13.40---$12.23---$11.28---$10.46---$9.86

    Sizing
    Small/Medium (6-3/4" to 7-1/4")
    Large/X-Large (7-1/8" to 7-5/8")

    Shipping Cost:

The hats will be shipped to me via ups ground at actual cost, and will then be sent priority mail from me to you. The total within the USA will be approx $6.0 and international around $12.00, and can be brought down to around $7.00 if you dont mind them going in an envelope which may temporarily distort their shape a bit, but will still work, although I recommend a box. The shipping prices include the cost of the initial UPS shipping of the hats to me, as well as packaging supplies such as packing tape and boxes.

The tricky part is we will have to agree on a single color, which will be one of the following:

Black, Brown, Carolina Blue, Dark Navy, Gold, Khaki, Lemon, Lime, Maroon, Natural, Navy,Orange, Purple, Red, Royal, Spruce. We will worry about this later though.

    Ordering:

Ordering will be done using the same type of order form and PayPal process that was used for the SRP Jackets, which proved to be VERY easy on everyone.

    Credit card payments:

Most types of credit cards will be accepted as with the SRP jackets, and also as with the SRP jackets the same 2.9% + $0.30 fee will that PayPal charges to process credit cards be added to each order.

Please post any comments, and give me an idea of how many of you are interested in a hat by voting on the poll. As usual, a vote is not a promise to order, just a way of me giving me an idea of whether or not there is enough interest to pursue the this project.

    Slogans:

For a small additional fee, we will have the option of embroidering a slogan on the hat of some sort on the back of the hat. Something like "Real men shave with a straight razor" or something like that. I hope that you will post your slogan ideas on this thread, we will vote on the idea at a later time. We will only use a slogan of any type if there is an overwhelming majority who want any sort of one on their hat, and as long as Lynn approves it of course.

Here is a detailed description of flexfit hats for those of you who have not worn them before, they are definitely the most comfortable brand hat I have worn and can be worn all day without becoming uncomfortable or feeling tight:

If you are not a "one size, fits all" kind of person, then these fitted hats are made for you. You can wear these fitted baseball hats backwards or forwards. Flex fit (or Flexfit) hats have no snap or buckle in the back. They are true flexible fitted caps. They stretch to fit you "just right!"

The flex-fit system stretches to fit multiple head sizes, so it adjusts to your head size to provide a snug, comfortable fit.

All FLEXFIT hats have the 'perma-curve' bill or visor, so all the customizing work has been done - all you have to do is simply wear it!

The Pro Flex 4-way spandex sweatband stretches easily then retains its original shape, making it a comfortable hat to wear to and from the slopes, on and off the field, anywhere!

Josh, is there a way we could get our hands on SRP touques? I haven't worn a baseball hat since high school but touques are a necessity up north.

Thanks Joe. Josh, when the temperatures get into the -40 range, you NEED something to keep your head warm except for a few psychos who still walk around wearing shorts and t-shirts

I believe that may be an American definition of a touque.

The "Canadian Touque" (pronounced like mooo, from a cow "toook") is actually a pair of "ouques", which are large, cold weather animals similar to the yak. With long hair, which naturally forms locks, or "dreadlocks" for extra warmth, the coat is prized by Rastafarians everywhere. If you've ever seen a baseball cap with a mock dreadlock type wig coming out the back, that's from an ooque.

The ooque, actually the mated pair as a singular "touque" are the national animals of Canada, while Beaver is the national snack of single Canadian men. The national bird of Canada, if anyone is interested, is the raven. While not as strong as the eagle, it's much more intelligent, often making the eagle look like a fool.

Ilija, Im sort of doubting there will be a large demand for these type of things lol....I think you are on your own. As of now our poll remans for baseball hats, maybe you can wear one with some earmuffs or some type of dead animal slung over your head lol???

Josh, I'm a Serbian Canadian not a Siberian Russian lol. On that note there are plenty of people from Canada and Northern US who would have a use for a touque in the winter. Let's see who else would be interested in one.

I propose a new poll! Would you prefer a SRP hat like the one on the left or the one on the right?

A ball cap is an excellent idea though! Don't know if t-shirts or sweatshirts have been discussed before? You can never have enough sweatshirts, I don't need any dead yak dreadlocks on my head, but a sweatshirt would keep the cold weather out

As far as the ball cap slogans on the rear, a few ideas:

    Repeat the web address
    "SRP" in larger letters
    "Go Straight"
    "SRP, on the cutting edge"
"SRP, always on the cutting edge"
    "Looking sharp is our business"
    "Looking sharp since 19??"
    "Stay sharp"
    "Est. 19??"
