I have a good friend who lives in Sheffield. She didn't even know what straight razors really were until I had to explain about old time barbers and such.
It's a beautiful city though based on the pouches she sends.

Never been to Solingen or Sheffield (maybe the later for our next visit to the UK). BUT, I've been to Eskilstuna, Sweden, several times - and only for the sake of the razors
. I've been to the last guy who makes razors commercial there (he bought C V Heljestrands old machines). We've been talking many times and I've had mini "tours", just the two of us shooting away and talking shop and machines (three phase with looong band drives), rubber wheels etc etc ... Great fun!!
