Thanked: 114Shaving with a flashlight
Due to major storms in the DC area, we’ve been without power for a few days. I had to shave using a flashlight this morning in order to look presentable for work. Let me tell ya, that’s a little scary. :-)

Thanked: 8At first I thought you were shaving with the flashlight. Must have been a sharp light. 8-)
Hope things get back to normal. Best wishes there back East.

Thanked: 38That is rough, I hope your power comes back soon. I heard from family in Northern Virginia that it was a pretty intense storm.

Intense is an understatement.

That sucks, hope you didn't suffer too many cuts. For the future if it ever happens again, I recommend either 4- or 6-D Maglite. Turn it on, stand it on end and it's almost like daylight.

Cell towers are finally up and running again here. Still under a boil advisory and power isn't expected to be back on until at least Friday.

That's why you keep a DE on hand for times like that.

Thanked: 21Making me realise how lucky I got. I only lost power literally overnight. The roads around here still seem to have been made with wood rather than asphault though.
