Thanked: 0Having lived on the Gulf Coast for 40+ years, I have been through several hurricanes and numerable extended power outages. One thing you discover quickly, you can do without the telephone and the power, just keep the water on. The other scary thing you discover is just how fragile our society is. People will be literally fighting (like fist fights) over ice in three days.

I was thinking about starting a thread like this and saw this one! I layed my LED penlight sideways on the sink and it created a dull glow that worked fine. I thought about using a candle for giggles but I was to lazy and thought the flickering might create issues.

I have shaven without a mirror once, sure its been done before. I took a section of my goatee off. Made it very squish in fact.

It is challenging to shave without electric. But isn't what our forefathers faced?

There's this new fangled thing called the Sun that allows you to see what you are shaving even when the power is out.

Thanked: 114Sleeping with 40+ beautiful ladies
Fun responses guys!
I got fairly proficient at shaving with the flashlight over the past few days – was actually kinda of fun. My bigger challenge was sleeping due to the heat. One night I actually slept in the garage with 40+ of my closest friends. Let me explain ……you see, our neighbors had their electric restored in the first 24 hours and they agreed to run an extension cord from their house to a freezer we have in the garage. So the only electricity we had was an extension cord sneaking in under the garage door. Well, I couldn’t sleep so I moved into the garage in the middle of the night, unplugged the freezer, plugged in a box fan, put down a sleeping bag, and attempted to get some shut-eye.
I thought you guys would like to see a picture of my bedtime company: 40+ beautiful ladies I was in the process of restoring before the power went out. How often do you guys sleep with your straight razor?
