Seasons greetings to all,
Hope all in AUS miss out on the traditional Christmas bushfires
Now I better go out to the shed and start to untangle about 25 sets of Christmas lights and find which globes are blown
Best wished to you all

Thanked: 1587Well, it seems the Aussies are all here. Merry Christmas, seasons greetings! I hope you all have a safe and happy holiday. Stay away from the razors if you intend to freely imbibe of the "spirit of the season"
We don't want any post-holiday razor accident threads...

No, not at all too early. I personally believe that the year end holiday season (regardless of which holiday you celebrate) is the time of year that we act like we should act year round.
May kindness and giving be in your heart year round. Love, compassion and forgiveness know no season, but unfortunately, are only practiced by most certain times of the year.

I second that coz I can't think of anything better. I don't go to church, I don't pray (unless I'm shot at) and I don't give a hoot for anyone's religion per see, however this time of year is for giving and sharing any warmth one might have for mankind.

Oh yeah..it's also the time to get totally rat-arsed, stuff yourself full of xmas tidings and overdo the amount of chocolate and everything else unhealthy. hic !

Tony, we'll be putting on our lights about a week before Catholic Christmas and keeping them at least until the Orthodox Christmas. Our family is either Catholic, Orthodox or atheist.
I try to put something personal into every gift that I give, depending on how much I care about the recipient and I always like to put some actual work into it instead of just flashing my Visa (R). That helps me achieve 2 goals:
1) Show that I really care (and those are the gifts I REALLY appreciate receiving)
2) Rebel against commercialism (for Christmas, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day etc etc etc).
