Seasons greetings to all,
Hope all in AUS miss out on the traditional Christmas bushfires
Now I better go out to the shed and start to untangle about 25 sets of Christmas lights and find which globes are blown
Best wished to you all

Thanked: 1587Well, it seems the Aussies are all here. Merry Christmas, seasons greetings! I hope you all have a safe and happy holiday. Stay away from the razors if you intend to freely imbibe of the "spirit of the season" We don't want any post-holiday razor accident threads...

Just out of curiosity.. Isn't it a weeeee bit too early for this? I know we get bombarded with Xmas commercials from early November, but still lol.

No, not at all too early. I personally believe that the year end holiday season (regardless of which holiday you celebrate) is the time of year that we act like we should act year round.
May kindness and giving be in your heart year round. Love, compassion and forgiveness know no season, but unfortunately, are only practiced by most certain times of the year.

Randy, I agree with you in principle. The problem is that the holidays have become too much about commercialism and buying love. What I like about this place is that everyone sticks to those ideals all the time without needing holidays for it.
Peter, I apologize if I came off too cynical. I guess I got overfed by Xmas commercials. As a gesture of apology, let me join in on your best wishes for everyone and add one of mine: Let this place stay just the way it has been since it started!

Ilija,
I wan't trying to be critical of your post. Just sharing my thoughts, and I certainly agree with you about "commercialism". I recently started a new diet, one that I dearly need, and I refused to visit the diet author's website before completing his book. Sure enough, it was very commercial. The book I will take to heart, the website I will ignore. It's too bad that the Holiday season now begins before Halloween.

Seasons greetings
I agree that Christmas is over commercialised, starting earlier gives retailers more time to squeeze your conscience for your hard earned cash!
“It estimates that the average amount spent per head on gifts will fall 2.8% to £310, cutting the total UK spend to £14.7bn from £15.1bn last year”
Maybe we are learning?
By the way The out door trimmings are going up around where I live, how many SRP’s bother? Maybe post a picture ?
