I'd say try another vendor. Temperatures are already in the mid-seventies here where I live, so the wait doesn't bother me. And Cabelas has definetly dropped the ball. But I'll back what ever you decide.

I'll vote #2 first then #3 and #1 last. And I'll agree with others here about their dissatisfaction with Cabela's customer service, or lack thereof... I've gotten their catalogs in the mail but have never ordered anything from them and will probably continue not buying anything.

Im talking with Donald and waiting to hear his opinion on things. I will keep you posted as we figure out the best course of action. Normally I would say that may is only a month away, but I am scared that the backorder will extended to another date when may rolls around...

Hey Guy's,
I have just read the crap you all have been going through. If Cabella's does get the order together by May I would hate to see what happens if there is a problem.
I emailed Josh with a road map we can use to get this done. I haven't seen the Jacket from Cabella's so I don't know how close I can come to that particular style, but there are many suppliers in this industry so I should be able to come fairly close.
Back orders do happen from time to time however the trick is to learn which suppliers carry larger quantities in stock.
Relax guys, Josh and I will get this solved.
This project started before I became a member and as a guy that does this work on a daily basis believe me none of this falls on Josh. Cabella's is just not geared up for the custom market as well as they lead you to believe. Once I get the information I requested from Josh it won't take me long to get a solution back to him.

Thanked: 4Donald, I don't think that anyone here holds Josh responsible for Cabela's screwing the pooch. I personally hold both you and Josh in high esteem for volunteering your efforts on our behalf. I don't blame Josh for this whole delay. I will blame him for that nick in my strop, however. (It couldn't have been my fault!). PM me if either of you guys smoke cigars.

Ahh a good Cuban cigar..I think I will head down the humidor and light one up. Care to join me? Oh wait, I forgot you can't deal with Cuba.
Just joking.

I don't think that any of this is Josh's fault, I am surprised that he has any sanity left. I think we all are very thankful that both of you took on this task.

I wasn't trying to imply this was Josh's fault. I was trying to give Josh a little moral support because I know the frustration he is experiencing. I have PM'd Josh with my findings on the jacket you all like. Unfortunately Cabella's is a Sportsmen Outfitter and I am a Corporate Outfitter. My suppliers offer much different styles of jackets than what Cabella's buys.
I will wait to hear back from Josh and listen to his thoughts before I suggest anything further.
