Thread: SRP Jacket Update - Please Read and Vote

Well guys, I got the second sample back, and I think its pretty bad personally. I spoke to them on the phone for at least two hours regarding fixing some things. Some of the issues they fixed were minor details in the logo that up close I didnt like, which they did a good job on. They were supposed to also make the writing easier to read, which in my opinion they did not do, and they were also supposed to make the razor wider and have more blade and less of a spine so it looks more like our logo, which the did not do at all.

We have three options which are:

1. Choose the first logo sample (on the left)
2. Choose the second logo sample (on the right)
3. Talk to them again and get it accross their thick heads, that this isnt what we want and to do it again the right way

I'm leaning toward the first(left) one but I'm not too picky. Whatever's decided upon will be fine with me.

I don't think either one is really bad but I prefer the one on the left.

It's your call, Josh. If I had to choose one of those two, I'd go with the one on the left. How big is the logo going to be on the jacket? could it be that's the best they can do, for it's size. I'm sure the smaller the emblem the harder it is to make it exact. but I'm not all that familiar with embroidery. Like I said, your call, I trust your judgement.

I worked in advertising for almost 20 years, if that means anything and the one on the right is really bad [in my opinion] If you're not happy with what they've done make them do it over until you're happy. Don't settle for "close enough" Thats my 2 cents.

I don' t want to settle, but I have people on here waiting for the jackets so its not up to me really.

BTW, the size is 4" x 4" I believe.

I don't have a dog in this hunt (I'm waiting for the hat!). If you have to choose, I think that the left design is the better of the two.

Josh, you have high standards..I don't think anyone will browbeat you for getting the logo exactly correct. I'd say make them do it over until it's correct.

I know what you mean we had clients breathing down our necks all the time, but if I were going to buy and wear a Logo jacket I'd want it to be right. Sometimes you just have to make people wait a little longer you'll all be happier in the long run.

Needs some blood dripping off the blade...

At 4 x 4 they should be able to make it, what's the word I'm looking for, Sharper? Clearer? I'm as anxious as anyone to get the jacket, but I'm willing to wait.
