Thread: DE, Straight, or Feather?

    The most consistent would have to be the DE, but I have the most time in with it. The feather SS is great, I highly recommend it for traveling or just in general, very comfortable to me. I love my straights and never regret for a second buying them, but there are more variables that effect a straight shave. DE's and feathers if the shave sucks, chuck the blade, put a new one in, and keep going. A true straight, it's well, more like preventative, and post maintenence with them. So you can compare, but there is a lot of contrast between them at the same time.

    You seem to be missing the Gem's and other SE's. As aggressive as a straight with the ease of use and maintenance of a DE.
