Thanked: 247Movember 2012!!!
Well....I have not raised a dime in spite of my efforts, but I did convince at least 5 people to schedule appointments with their doctors.
The concept works...people asked me WTH I shaved, then immediately started regrowth. Then the conversation starts...ending with me telling them, "hey, you sat and listened to me this long...so you must be a good friend friend...in the same regard, go get checked because I care about you, my good friend!"
I wish I could have raised money, but I have zero shame for my results this month.
On related notes, my mom beat breast cancer this year, my co-worker is fighting like hell against lung cancer, and Friday I am the pallbearer for my FIL who lost his fight (lung, bone and brain).
Cancer sucks! Kick it's ass and kick it in the nuts...by getting yours checked!!!

You were there in the game. I lost my dad due to kidney cancer and my granddad to a brain tumor. All and all I think Movember is a great idea. It takes a little more commitment than wearing a pink Save the Tatas shirt. No offense to those who know people with breast cancer. The thing is most people are fully aware of breast cancer. Guys on the other hand are terrible about getting checked out. Anyway....
From their stillness came their non-action...Doing-nothing was accompanied by the feeling of satisfaction, anxieties and troubles find no place

I agree. I'm very sensitive to breast cancer since I have watched several people deal with it (most recently my mom) but all that trendy pink stuff is to breast cancer as Black Friday is to Christmas if you ask me.
It's more than a trendy coffee cup or witty shirt, it's a fight for someone's life...it's not cool, it's REAL.
Don't buy a shirt, have a conversation or two...or forty...whatever it takes to make a difference.
Getting the prostate checked is a feeling that most would prefer to avoid...but it lasts a fraction of a second which is virtually zero compared to the duration and impact of cancer.

Well Mo Bros, we've finally arrived at the end of Movember. What are your plans? Ritual mo removal? Will you run with it and let the mo live? I'm going to have a last-ditch fundraising effort taking bids to determine the disposition of the mo. Mine may disappear soon although I'm curious to know just how long it would take to get a real handlebar thing going on.
We shall see...
It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

I think I will keep mine and grow the chin hair along with it into a goatee of some sort.

I will be growing out some winter warmth. Most likely start working on the handlebar again, while working on perfecting the technique on my neck. It has gotten really good.
I helped a couple ladies with making handlebar stache cookies for a mo party and then spent the rest of last night with one in a hot tub.Shaving with facial hair is like a golfcourse. It's a challenge of rough and fairways. You are the skilled greenskeeper of your face?
