Critique Mantic's Straight Razor Shaving Vid?
Greetings SRP!
After a lot of false starts, re-starts, editing, re-editing, and general angst, I have finally completed a straight razor shaving video. However, before I release it on an unsuspecting public, I would like some experienced straight razor shavers to take a quick look at it to make sure I haven't forgotten something important or have done something really stupid. Bear in mind this video is meant as a primer with general guidelines. I plan to link to many additional resources including SRP, Lynn's channel & DVD, Geo's channel, Chris Moss' PDF, etc.
Please note this video is an "unlisted" link. Please do not share it, as it will be deleted when I upload the final, HD version.

Nice Job with the video. Right to the meat of the matter so to speak. Good thing you mentioned the "shave ready" thing when buying..that will help allot of people I am sure.
Nice Work!

Looks like all those years of DE shaving payed off.
If there's one thing you could improve, it's the stropping.
It looks like you're holding the razor by the scales when you strop.
Try holding the tang with your thumb and pointer finger and use the rest of your fingers to suport the scales(not gripping).
When you flip the razor, you roll it between your fingers instead of making a major motion with your whole hand.
I hope this made sense to you.
Edit
Found a couple videos.

Thanked: 1195Very nice video Mark, well done.
I suppose my only criticism would be that I don't really like how you have your strop attached to your sink faucet. There is the potential, especially when stropping fast, for the razor to slip and hit the tap. And as many around here will attest that means game over.
Other than that, great work and I look forward to seeing it released in its final form. Thanks for choosing SRP as your preview forum.
