    It ain't a bad idea to go to college first if you can afford it. The primary difference between Private Smith and Lieutenant Smith is the degree...and 3000 dollars per month of extra income. So LT drives a BMW, you drive an Escort. He gets a house, while you get a tiny room with a stinky roommate. He is saluted at every turn, you..are the one saluting. Ahhh, I hope I don't sound too awful bitter. lol. I did have some friends in the Officer Corps...

    well that and the fact i dont speak to either of them and had to fight like hell to get my birth certificate so i could get my drivers licence

    Sorry, man. Just thinking about if you were my son. Signing a kid over to the military don't seem right at this point in our history. He should be of age to make his own decision. I do know what it was like, BTW!
