Razor never arrived from Ebay, advice?
At the end of last month, I won this http://straightrazorpalace.com/show-...n-one-bay.html off the bay. Paid for it immediately, and remained calm while I waited for it. Last Friday I sent the guy a message asking if he had a tracking number for it, because it had not yet arrived. Then Sunday, he sent me this message in reply:
[TR] [TD]Dear maddafinga, The razor was sent on March 27th; I did not have atracking number for it. All of the razors I had listed and sold were already.received by the Buyers. Please advise in another day or two if you'fve received it or not. Thanks! Sounded very reasonable and concerned, so no worries on my part. It didn't arrive Monday, so I sent a message to that effect, and said "fingers crossed for tomorrow." It didn't arrive yesterday, or today. I sent him another message each of those, and have had no response as of yet. Now I'm kind of wondering, what should I do? As long as you used paypal you are covered. If you don't receive the item you have 45 days to open a dispute. Not suggesting you wait that long, just saying you've got plenty of time. I'd give it to the end of the week and then open the dispute. Meanwhile notify the seller to notify his PO to see if they can look for it.

I'll certainly do that. I did use PayPal too, thankfully.
I'd really much rather have the razor than the money back. When the Dude is recognized in the world, unDudeness will be seen everywhere--- the Dude de Ching

JimmyHAD's advice is on the nut. I had one go past 45 days from India, PayPal cant do anything. They advised me if there is a concern, open a claim. If it works its self out, cancel it, if you don't receive your stuff, you can escalate it. Jimmy's advice is solid. Give it till weeks end, then start the ball rolling. CYA!!

yea, after a reasonable time period let the vendor know you mean business and then go on from there. Don't let him string this out too long.

I just had something similar happen with some fly line I ordered from an eBay vendor out of the UK. It shipped on the 12th of March but as of today I haven't received it. I notified him and stated that I waited so long because I've had things get UN up in customs and take three weeks to get to me but in two days it will be a month. Then I asked if he had tracking info available. He replied back pretty promptly to let me know that he didn't use tracking info but if I want him to refund me or send another line he'd do that.
Some sellers are wonderful and some will try and screw you. At least US based sellers get/give tracking info if they print shipping labels via eBay's interface.
As long as you get the dispute opened up before 45 days you're good to go.

What kind of sucks, is that he's in Illinois, but already told me he didn't have any shipping info. Sadly.

That's sucks. Hopefully it's still in the system. It looks like a nice blade.

That's what I'm hoping too. Maybe he wrote the addy down wrong and it got returned to sender, so I can get it sent back to me properly. I don't think he's a scam artist at all, I just don't want to miss out on the blade.

Thanked: 26I bought one from him the same day you did. He took 4 days to get it in the mail, the longest of any ebay sale I've ever done, but it did eventually come, and there wasn't any other problem. If there's a problem, I don't think it's that he's dishonest.
