That mint condition Dubl Duck 8/8 full hollow rounded tip with Damascus steel, titanium pins and Norwhal horn scales. No wait, that was a dream...

There's one on eBay that's mint right now. May have to sell a kidney to get it though.

The one that I'm still looking for is the twin of my Moreton & Langley's.
    I've never seen another one.

When you're thebigspendur you can get whatever you want whenever you want.

Actually there have been one or two ducks I missed out on but otherwise I have no real sorrow.

I was waiting to jump on the original SRP razors we had made. I wanted a full 7 day set, but my dial-up connection dropped. By the time I re-entered all the data, I was only able to get two - numbers 29 and 30, which I still have.

Sweet shaver! Number 29 is still unused.

There was a Le'Coultre Frameback at a local antique store that I stalked for years. When I first saw it I wanted it but he was pretty proud of it ($85) if memory serves. I didn't figure it was going anywhere at that price and based on several years of doing business with these folks, the "fishing pressure" was pretty minimal (I was the only guy buying straights apparently.) So I walked away and came back 3 or 4 months later. The price had dropped to ($80) I'll let him stew a bit longer, so three months later I made a $60 offer, nothing doin'. Some time later I made a cash money offer of $55, he came down to $75 but wouldn't budge from there. The next time I came back, the razor was gone. I bet he would have taken $70 but being a cheap bastige cost me a really nice razor.

There was a DD Goldenedge at one of the antique stores in Tarpon Springs one time. It looked brand new and the price tag was $125. Naturally I was broke and naturally when I came back prepare to swing with the big boys it was nowhere to be found. I totally would have not haggled that one, I'd gladly have paid the asking price with a smile on my face.

I missed one that is a family heirloom. To me the rest are Cool Tools and I don't look back.
