The Lone Ranger
Watched the new movie last night. There is one SR related scene which does not have a happy ending. Will not spoil it for you. Great movie with a different flavor on the Lone Ranger theme.

I have not seen this movie but a coworker did and gave a bad review. Especially Johnny Depp!

We saw it tonight. The straight razor was as dull as my my brain. Johnny Depp actually was the only decent part of the movie, overall it was horrible. If you want to see it, you would due your wallet a favor & wait for it at BlockBuster. JMO

I thought it was a terrific cowboy comedy. The photography of the expansive great out west was beautiful. Very funny, very well done. When the William Tell Overture started and The Lone Ranger is riding on the "magic" horse, the crowd went wild.
The outlaw doing the barbering was using poor technique, a 90 degree angle, got distracted and gave the leader an nice long gash.
I think it is worth seeing on the big screen, if not for anything else but the scenery.

My wife and some gals went to see it and said it was funny and good. Of course they think JD is the shit. My neighbor said it was really funny and clean. Said you could take the kids. One thing both said was that there was a fair bit of reference to the old Lone Ranger in innuendo and such. They said it mostly flew over the younster's head, but the old farts got it.
Kindof like Blazing Saddles. Everytime I sit up late and watch an old western I have not seen, I get something else!
Think I will wait on it to come on pay per view. Theaters used to be fun. Nobody has respect it seems. There are 30 i-phones lit up between me and the screen, I have the chair kicker right behind me, the guffaw-meister is on his right, and the cupped-hand clapper is on his left. Senora in front of me is changing a diaper in her lap, and corn syrup is running down the floor!
I will wait for TV!"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.

Well, definitely not a cinematic jeweI but it was still entertaining. Being a fan as a kid of the original series, the new movie is a disservice to it. Depp's version is more like a satire than a remake.

They seem to be short of original scripts and just want to be making copies.

Really have you forgotten how to have fun ? I go to the show with 2 things in my pocket. 1. A fart machine. (get a good one that is loud) 2. A can of this >>Amazon.com: Liquid Ass: Toys & Games
You may clear the room and have it all to yourself.Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.
