Thanked: 118It has to be said that you guys in So Cal that didn't attend certainly missed out. I want to thank everyone involved.
It cannot be said enough how wonderful Marty and his wife were. The greatest of hosts. We were invited into a beautiful home and immediately made welcome. You would not believe the signage just to inform us. Marty has many talents. Food was top notch. I was the lucky winner of the raffle (pic below) . Thanks Marty.
Voidmonster (Zak) donated a Straight Razor history book as a second raffle prize. Didn't win that one. I guess I'll have to buy the second edition as soon as it comes out.
RoyalCake (Shane) brought razor boxes for everyone attending. They fit two razors each and are gorgeous.
Conversations were great. The assortment of razors, hones and information were unbelievable! Great information was swapped. I think everyone learned something today.
Marty gave a demo on film honing with my Friodur! I can't wait to shave with it tomorrow morning. Marty the edge looks great.
Looking forward to the next meet.

Thanked: 3215I had a great time meeting all you guys, if anybody wants to get togeather for some hands on honing, I’m up for that. Let me know and we can meet one of these weekends.
I would like to thank Voidmonster for his book donation that we gave away and Royal Cake for the beautiful razor boxes and piece of Ebony and to everyone that attended and brought their treasures, knowledge and curiosity. We could have made a single show of any of your collections.
Voidmonster, 10pups, Wolfpack and Jdoc you guys are out of control… in a good way.
Thanks to all for your generous comments, my wife and I had a great time and enjoyed meeting and talking to all of you.
Thanks again, next time I will take more photos, 5 hours was not enough time.
Here’s a few more Pixs.

Man, I haven't had a spare moment to come in her end say what a great time I had. I went immediately from the meetup to a birthday party, got home late, and hit Monday running.
It was awesome meeting everybody -- it's always neat to put faces to names -- and Marty and his family's hospitality really went way, way beyond.
Thank you everybody!-Zak Jarvis. Writer. Artist. Bon vivant.
