There is going to be a meet up at Kansas City on October 25th and 26th. The exact address is being worked out and as soon as we have it down, we'll let you know. There's going to be some great straight razor folks and honers there and lots of hands on learning. If you're interested in coming out and want to learn how to use a straight razor or want to learn how to hone your razors, let us know."

Ray-Barring unforeseen scheduling snafus, I will be traveling to this with the Southeastern contingent, aka Hidestoart Express, which will also include Warpiper and maybe one other. I look forward to meeting more of the Midwest Mafia, and picking up some more honing knowledge from you guys! Not sure how much Slivovitz I can hold, though.

Utopian and I have been trying to get our schedules to align for a meet up for a while now, so this presents the ideal opportunity to do that, plus meet a bunch of you other hooligans as well

Additionally, walleyeman may have a custom brush order for me around that time!

How does a meet like this typically go? How is it organized and ran?

Well Justin, someone hosts the meet. All that are coming arrive and friends are made and old acquaintances get to catch up. There will be honing by the guys that know what to do. You can learn try it yourself and watch. There will be some items from members displayed and some for sale. But most of all it is 2 days of meets and greets and getting to know the men behind the network that we all share. Possibly some brushes displayed and maybe for sale. Razors strops etc. just a good time with all the men that post here and share the same likes in shaving and such. Feel free to pm me with questions or concerns.

The wonderful folks from Captain's Choice are sending a bottle of their Bay Rum as a door prize. They are also sending some samples to give out as well. If you've never tried it you're missing out. It's a great scent and it lasts a good long time. Thanks Captain!
