Just wanted to introduce myself, and I look forward to meeting you next month. I have a few straights but haven't learned to hone yet. I definitely want to learn. And if someone can teach me to hone a Rolls blade (out of the Rolls System) that would be awesome.
    Hi Vez!!

You will definitely learn how to hone at KC. I just got a Rolls myself and I was surprised at how well it shaved. A little intimidating at first but it was actually quite fun. There are going to be some great people there coming across the country and I know several of them have Rolls and hone them up. Its supposed to be not much different than honing a straight.

Richard, for ~$125 and in Grain Valley I'd recommend the Hotels in Blue Springs, MO - Hampton Inn Kansas City - Blue Springs: 900 NW South Outer Road, Blue Springs, Missouri, 64015, 816-220-3844. To save more money for what's really important, about ~$50, Americas Best Value Inn-Grain Valley: 105 Sunny Ln Dr, Grain Valley, MO 64029, (816) 224-3420.

I don't mean to talk things down but the American Best value Inn is questionable at best. I would look at another. Just my suggestion!! Remember I live here too!!

Well for $50 it's probably reasonable but I agree, I don't recommend it a whole lot. It was clean last time I saw it so that's a plus. :P What I recommend is spending a couple more bucks because the other hotels are very nice.

I should be there. Having some shoulder surgery earlier in the month but had a great time last year and am looking forward to this year.

Gents the PM's will go out next weekend or first of next week. If you are planning on attending and have not pm'd me please do or you won't know where it is going to be!! If you are riding the fence on coming or not please pm also and say you are not sure. I will be meeting with Randy this week to finalize things. So the force is beginning to draw much harder towards KC! Can you feel it yet??

I haven't been involved with razors long enough to know the history of this event, but my gut feeling is that this year will be among the biggest and best.
