Thanked: 14Milehiscott.. You should go muzzle loader season. The weather is much better. You don't freeze your ass off.

Oh, man. What a fun time. It started around 11:30 and I arrived about noon. We had lots of great honing instruction, good pizza and garlic knots, and pleasant conversations. Nightblade asked if he could get a ride home and I looked at my phone and it was after 8pm. Eight hours just flew by...
It was so nice to see some familiar faces and to meet some new people too. We had a great turnout;18 or so. I think everyone had a good time and learned lots. I know I did. A big thank you Victor for setting up the location and to Glen for all the demonstrations and answers to questions.
I was really smiling in the picture that Glen posted. I was opening an early birthday present from my wife. I brought a few razors with me to the meet last year and sent them home with Glen and told him to just bring them back to next year's meet. It was well worth the wait!!! He does an amazing job. Some of these were pretty ugly and on the ivory/bone ones Glen cleaned them up as best as he could without unpinning them. The scales on the unknown one are about .045-.050" thick (or should I say thin)The Jaguar and R. Noalhat got beautiful new horn scales. I am a very, very happy camper. Thank you, Glen
L to R
Pradier, Dumas Aine 32, unknown, Jaguar 14, R. Noalhat, Legrand Professeur, and a pair of Faiers.
I will try to get better pictures taken this weekend. I will post them in the show and tell and get the Jaguar into the 14 club. Glen said the unknown maker razor almost got launched from frustration during honing. Such a strange notch on both sides of the spine, but I have seen others with the same notches so they were for some purpose.
The Jaguar was my Monday morning shave and it was amazing. I am going to use the R. Noalhat in the morning. I snuck in two days of growth during the week and it will be some sweet shavin'

Logan,
I work for an outdoor ministry (Christian Outdoor Fellowship of America). We sponsor an Elk hunt each year. We do 2nd rifle because out of state people can get OTC Bull tags.
I actually like muzzleloader season. It is the peak of the rut and the animals are a special kind of stupid.
