Thanked: 3795That is absurd!
Before SRP I only had a Swaty and a Carborundum 102. After seeing Lynn honing on Nortons I knew I wanted to try them but I immediately recognized that I did not want the two-sided hones. I hated the idea of the lower hone picking up lint or crud when it was sitting on a towel or whatever. For that reason I got the Norton Tri-Hone kit. I got it in 2007 and I'm still happy with it! I think that I paid $180 for it back then and I got it HERE.

Thanked: 3795And of course MattCB deserves a shout-out for putting in the effort for dealing with that many vendors and arranging the whole thing. I hope to get there some year.

Thanked: 3795Let me know if you have any questions about it. I doubt it, of course, since it ain't very complicated, but I will give you one bit of advice. Store it with the 8k above water, with the 1k and 4k submerged. That way when you go to hone, the two lower grits, which take more time to soak in water, will be ready to go. By the time you want to use the 8k, it will be ready as well.
OK, two bits of advice...
The water in the tank can get pretty nasty but it does not matter because as you hone the grit settles down to the bottom. Use a spray bottle to wet the top of the hone and the tank will catch the water.

Photos from the event photographer are in! I don't want to try and post 50+ photos on here, but there is a photo gallery on the event website 2015 Seattle Convention is a Wrap - Seattle Shave Convention. Enjoy

Just had a chance to try out the PAA 'Flannel In The Rain' soap and it was really nice. I'd never tried PAA soaps and this one did not disappoint... Great cushion and glide with a nice, clean scent!!
Thanks to PAA for helping to make our Meet just that much more memorable!!
