Thank you. I also called Sharping Supplies and they concur. Use water. Lots on the Norton, Just a little on the 12K Naniwa. Water is a good thing. Thanks again for your help.

Update: Reacquaintance with my straight razors has resulted in shaving off the beard and retaining an English style moustache.

I think it happens to us all. I had a full beard till I picked up a straight. Wanted more area to shave. Congads.

No. You do not need to soak the flattening stone. However, you do need to make sure that the flattening stone is flat. If it happens to be flat, after you use it for a while you will need to flatten it again.

Very good! I am still working on my jaw. I am finding differences in razors now.

Yep, im ready to ask for a day off work and this is a good reason for it. Too bad there is no place to park my truck where we meet at. I too am much more prepared this time. I know there is a normal spring/summer gathering. I just havent herd of it yet.

Don't know if I can make this but will try. The one in January was great and I too have more knowledge now.
