This was my first attempt at honing a smiling blade and I am very happy with the results.

It shaves wonderfully, in the past people have warned that the 0.5 um film leaves too sharp of an edge, (according to my research this equates to approximately 50,000 grit, which seems hard to believe). I decided to give it a try and it polished the bevel nicely. After stropping it gave a smooth shave without any difficulties. The razor is heavier than I am used to, but I will add it to my rotation. At some point I plan on a more complete restoration.

The shave test is the Ultimate Test and if you're happy then that's all that counts.

I'd like to suggest an idea for you to consider. Try using that same razor every time you shave for at least a couple of weeks a full month would be better.

The idea is to 'Learn The Razor' if you only pick it up here and there your really don't know or understand it.

Give it a go, I think you'll like the results.

Let us know if you do and how it went. Inquiring Minds Want To Know.

Well I hope I got it right and that all can see the names. Remember you are talking about a computer mastodon.

Looks right. Thanks! The only attendee missing is neehooya who was behind the camera. Too bad. He's younger and better looking than the rest of us so it would have improved the pic.

Thanks for the picture Demetrius. I saved to my computer. That is a day I want to be able to look back on and share in the future. I will be great to remember all of you.
