Thread: Meet up October 27 - 29 Wisconsin

There will be a meet at my place on the last weekend of October.

I live outside of Racine about 300 miles from Utopian or 25 miles from the Illinois line and 4 miles from Lake Michigan


There are a number of motels within 3 miles of my house. It should not be a problem getting a room.

All wet shavers will find others sharing their passion. We will do the usual things of

Honing
Scaling
Pinning
Grinding
Restoring
Stropping
Shaving
Lathering

Bring your gear to show, trade or sell.

There will be a Real Man Shave contest. I have acquired some lye soap. Bring your own brush.

I normally stop shaving during deer season but I will make an exception for this contest! I would assume that we should provide our own razors as well?

Definitely use your own razor.

This soap was made in the 60s by an little old lady. It still has the lye smell.

I'm just wondering if we all will be carpooling in your Suburban or do we all need our own directions to the nearest hospital?

I got to check the calendar for sure but .......

I have the blade that I made at Charlies and I stil haven't figured out a satisfying answer to the scale question.
