I, too, am considering a blackboard once the renovations here are done

Btw if we have enough razors we could do a vintage razor damascus billet

I will bring the box that was previously destined for wind chimes, there is not a lot, but I imagine every little bit helps.

I rounded-up the remains of my busted and ugly.
On the way to Tc with Vic's name on them!
Between mine and Shaun's, perhaps a little bit of this and that lying around....
    Would be cool to see!

On the vintage billet: as an FYI, I ended up with 11 razors in mine, and that gave enough material for one razor. Bearing in mind of course I removed plenty of material (thin bits of blades that had turned to foil when flattened, tails past the pivot) *and* had no idea what I was doing.

So it shouldn't take too many donor blades to get a good few finished blades in the end. Can't wait to see how it works for you guys!

On the blackboard front, I bought a can of blackboard spray paint and coated a bare wall in the shop and it has worked great.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Wow, you have bare wall space in your shop, that is impressive. I have a wall cabinet with white board on the doors. I have a very small work space with too much equipment.

Is that for pattern welded billets, or did you mean 1/4"?

Randy have you made a list of who is coming? I may have missed it or something. My oldest son, Jason, and I are coming. It will be good to see all.
