Thanked: 70This was the second time I have gone to Dave's meet. There was great food both times. Good people with diverse areas of knowledge and skill levels
have shown up and are more than willing to teach others. The meets have been an exchange of ideas, good conversation, good food and friendship along
with practical restoration work. Dave and Bonnie are gracious hosts which everyone has noticed and appreciated. The one negative aspect is driving through
Chicago to get there.

So....you took the byway.?
Where you drive 10 feet and throw exact change at a funnel, only to repeat it several times in a short distance.?
Oh.! And 6 or 8 lanes of traffic bottle necks to 2 at the toll booth.Mike

I was really thinking about coming to Dave's, this year. I've finally got my year in at my new job, so I can get paid vacation time. But unfortunately I had a bunch if things I had to get done before winter sets in.
September is a great month for vacation time, for me.
So maybe next year I'll make it.Mike

Every year I’ve been to this meetup, the hospitality which Dave and Bonnie provides us all with is so overwhelming. They treat us all like family and it’s just so amazing. Thank you so much Dave and Bonnie.
Here is a link to a few photos I took on Saturday. I apologize for not taking more. Next year I will take more. Always great to see all the participants which all share knowledge, skill sets, and stories. This meetup each year is so fun and eventful.

A special shout out to Charlie for helping out with the wedding anniversary gift from my wife. I did shave with it last night, it needs a little edge work still, but should be just fine shortly. Will try to work on it today or tomorrow.
Can’t wait for next year. Cheers everyoneLast edited by Gonzo4str8rzrs; 09-30-2019 at 12:39 PM.

Thanked: 70No, I avoided the toll way. I went on 90 & 94. On the way up I hit Chicago at 11:00am, cars and semis door to door, bumper to bumper. I was in first gear
or neutral most of the time. If i reached 5mph I felt like I was hauling ass. It took a long time getting through that crime riddled city. Going home on Sunday
was the quickest I have ever driven through Chicago. I was rarely driving less than 50mph. I was very thankful for relative light (for Chicago) traffic (for Portland IN
it would be considered heavy).
