Steel and grinding belts are being supplied but if you want to make scales or other things then be sure to bring your own scale material, pinning material, collars etc. and tools. We don't mind helping but materials and such are your responsibility.
I'm sending Brass and Silver Nickel Rod directly to Charlies.

Austin (ajkenne) has offered to send a collection of his work directly to Charlies--N/C.

I plan on bringing some bone blanks, some acrylic blanks and some stabilized wood.

While not related to making scales, once gain there will be homemade cinnamon rolls and biscuits by our friend Carolyn

If someone more experienced wants to try their hand at regrinding a ROUGH blade, let me know. I was going to make a hobby knife out of it, but maybe someone can make it look decent again. I had planned to replace it, but since the maker is do obscure it would nice if someone could try to save it.
By obscure, I mean Zak said he had never heard of them!!

Someone took a grinder or other power tool to it and made a mess.
    And no, it wasn't me.

    Just a thought.

As you can see, you really can't make it look any worse.

Yeah, that was why I thought the Texas Meet might be a good place to do it since all the tools will be there.
The grinder/dremel marks are way too deep to sand out.

Funny, I thought about asking if anyone had old blades that need to be re-ground that they'd be willing to part with. I'd like to take the time this year to spend time learning how it's done.

If the blade is there I will happily regrind it. Should take only a couple of minutes.

I may try to barter a pair of bone from you to finish a blade.
